VERY IMPORTANT TRANSFER INFORMATION: *** REQUIREMENTS FOR DOMAIN TRANSFERS ***
- 1. Before you submit a Domain Transfer request you should do a WHOIS check on your domain. Check age of the domain, Administrative Contact Email Address on file for the domain, and Domain Status. Verify that all conditions below are met otherwise your transfer will fail.
- 2. Make sure that you have access to the email address listed as the admin contact for the domain. Our transfer
process is email verification based, so you must be able to receive and respond to a verification email sent to the domain's Administrative Contact.
If your email address listed for the administrative contact of the domain is not current or is not yours, the transfer WILL FAIL.
- 3. We cannot transfer domains that are less
than 60 days old. If you registered your domain within
the last 60 days, please wait until after 60 days before starting
a transfer to 1-2-Wonder Web Services. If the domain is less than 60 days old, the transfer WILL FAIL.
-
- 4. Make sure your domain name is not locked at the current registrar.
Please contact your current registrar to make sure
there are no holds or locks when transferring your domain
name (many registrars will automatically place a lock on the domain for security). If the domain is Status Locked, Registrar-Lock, or in any kind of Hold status, the transfer WILL FAIL.
- 5. All .com, .net, .info, .us, .biz, and .org
transfers now require an authentication code, called an EPP Key, when transferring
domains to or from any registrar. You can obtain an authentication code from
your current registrar (where the domain is currently registered). If your domain does not show an EPP key, or if your registrar gives you a code that does not work, ask them to resync this information for a new/current EPP Key. This is more likely to be necessary for .com and .net domains. The EPP Requirement is new for .com and .net domains as of late October 2006, and the registries have not synced all EPP's for those domains yet.
- 6. Make sure your domain name is not
expired. It is advisable to initiate your transfer at least
7 days prior to expire date, so there will be enough time to complete the process.
