Q. How do I upgrade my Hosting Package?
A.IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A PAID (NOT FREE NPCS) HOSTING ACCOUNT WITH US:
You may upgrade to another hosting package by logging in to your account here at 1-2-Wonder Web Services. This will place you in the User Home (or if you are already logged in, just click on "My Account" in the Account Menu above). On the left side of the page, click "My Packages," then click "View Hosting Accounts." If the hosting account you want to upgrade is all paid up to date and has no open/unpaid invoices, a "U" and an "A" icon will appear beside it. The "U" will allow you to upgrade (or downgrade) your entire hosting package to a different package level. The "A" will allow you to add hosting Addons such as extra Bandwidth.
Your hosting package upgrade or addon fee will be pro-rated for your existing billing cycle, plus any setup fees if you are upgrading from a Standard account to a Premium package. There are no additional setup fees for Standard hosting packages.
If you do not see the "U" or "A" next to your hosting account, that means you cannot upgrade or addon until you pay all open invoices associated with that hosting account. If you are waiting for a PayPal subscription to automatically pay it, you can go ahead and pay the invoice early by credit card method or choose regular "PayPal" as a payment method, because we will have to cancel your old PayPal subscription immediately after the upgrade anyway (the old PayPal amount will no longer be valid after you upgrade).
Note: It is also possible to downgrade your hosting package via the "U" upgrade icon. However refunds or credits cannot be issued for downgrades.
IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A FREE NPCS HOSTING ACCOUNT WITH US:
If you have Free Hosting with us, you can switch to a paid hosting package at any time. However you cannot upgrade hosting from your "My Account" area. In order to switch from Free Hosting to one of our paid web hosting packages, just order paid hosting for your current domain from one of our Hosting Order pages as if you were ordering for a new hosting account. We will do the upgrade on our end and it will not visibly affect your web site, except that you will have the new higher quotas to work with. During the order process, you will be asked to specify the domain you want hosted. Choose the option that says you will use a domain you already own. This option will allow you to type your domain name into a blank that will appear underneath. Do NOT enter the www as part of the domain name.
If you have a free NPCS account and then decide to upgrade to a paid hosting package, this is considered a permanent switch. We are sorry to have to implement this rule, but we have had too many people abuse our kindness and free service by bouncing back and forth between free and paid hosting packages based upon temporary needs. It takes a good deal of time on our end to perform and account for each upgrade or downgrade. This leaves less time for supporting our regular paying customers. Therefore, once upgraded to a paid package, you cannot downgrade back to free NPCS hosting again later.
BANDWIDTH UPGRADES:
If you need extra bandwidth but not the full extra features or space that come with a complete Package upgrade, AND if you already have a paid hosting package, you may add bandwidth at any time. To add bandwidth, login at our site. This will place you in the User Home (or if you are already logged in, just click on "My Account" in the Account Menu above). On the left side of the page, click "My Packages," then click "View Hosting Accounts." Then click the "A" icon and order the amount of Bandwidth you want. Your bandwidth addition will be pro-rated (if applicable) for your existing hosting billing cycle until the next billing anniversary date. On your next billing cycle your invoice will be for your hosting account plus the regular cost for your bandwidth add-on.
Hosting Package upgrades and Bandwidth Addons are usually completed in 1 to 6 hours after the upgrade or bandwidth addon order is placed.
The free Non-Profit hosting accounts are not eligible for increased bandwidth while still on a Free Hosting plan. Free Hosting accounts must switch to a paid package in order to increase their limits of any package component.
